About Me

Hello I will do my best to summarise myself! My back ground is in writing, directing and performing in theatre – which I still do occassionally. I also love to sing Jazz live – but have hardly put celebrancy and singing together!
I have a Bachelor Degree in Drama from the Victorian College of the Arts in Animateuring – this involved three years of intense full time study. Here I learned how to project my voice, connect with words, write creatively, choreograph and perform – all those skills have groomed me to be an all round celebrant of excellence.
Currently I am teaching celebrants at Victoria University in Melbourne. I have graduated around fifty celebrants in the last two years.
I am a second generation celebrant and my father Dally Messenger is a pioneer celebrant. I grew up with a marriage celebrant; I wrote my first ceremony when I was eight!!
I love studying different cultures and their spiritual paths. This has taken me on many travels to exotic places! I have also done many different courses involving spiritual practices and personal growth. In this sense I can take people on deep journeys if they so wish to explore their ceremony on another level.
My education includes:
- Bachelor of Arts – La Trobe University
- Bachelor of Drama – Victorian College of the Arts
- Diploma in Marriage Celebrancy from the International College of Celebrancy and a Marriage Certificate IV
- Cert IV in Small Business RMIT
- Cert IV in Workplace and Assessment Training
...and of course the university of life!
